Enhance your decor with an Ancient Greek Amphora 6th Century B.C. black Figure painted.Amphora was an Ancient Greek vase used for storing olive and wine.

First side:We can see Agaamemnon the King of Mycenae, with his Daughter Iphigeneia  and Achilles . While the Greek army was preparing to set sail for Troy during the Trojan War, Agamemnon caused the anger of the goddess Artemis, because he killed a sacred deer. The seer Calchas realised what the problem was, and informed Agamemnon that to appease the goddess, Agamemnon had to sacrifice Iphigenia to her. Reluctant at first, Agamemnon was forced to agree in the end. He lied to his daughter and his wife by saying that Iphigenia was to marry Achillles before they left.

Second side: It is shows Achilles Consulting Pithia.Pithia is the setting of Euripides' play Andromache, a play set after the Trojan War, when Achilles' son Neoptolemus (in some translations named Pyrrhus) has taken the widow of the Trojan hero Hector as a slave.
